Monastery Virtual Tour

We were commissioned to virtually reconstruct and present a Romanesque abbey found near Kecskemét, Hungary in an augmented reality installation setting. Although the excavation revealed only minimal details about the monastery, other 12nd century monasteries from the area were used as a reference for the modelling.

In the installation three multi-marker augmented reality cubes were connected to three views in the monastery: outside view, the cloister, the nave of the church. The cubes act as virtual cameras, they control orientation and zoom.
